Chinese investors acquired $460 million stake in Yum Brands
Chinese private equity firm Primavera Capital and China Ant Financial have invested $460 million in Yum Brands the operator of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut licenses.
The investment is concurrent with the completion of Yum China's spinoff from Yum! Brands. Under the terms of the agreements, Primavera and Ant Financial will invest $410 million and $50 million, respectively, in Yum China. Primavera Capital Group is a private equity firm investing in companies in China and around the world. It was founded in 2010 and is based in Beijing with offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong with Dr. Fred Hu as founder.
