Chinese investors of Hua Capital and consortium acquired OmniVision for $1.9 billion
Chinese investment firm Hua Capital, as part of a consortium, acquired US based OmniVision Technologies for $1.9 billion.
Founded in 1995, OmniVision is a developer of advanced digital imaging solutions. For fiscal 2014, OmniVision reported revenues of $1.4 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, OmniVision stockholders will receive $29.75 per share in cash, or a total of approximately $1.9 billion.
