Chinese private equity firm Tairui acquired stake at Canadian Western Potash for $80 million
Beijing Tairui Capital Management, a China-based private equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in Western Potash, a Canadian development and mineral company, for $80 million.
Listed on Toronto and Frankfurt stock markets, Western Potash is a development stage mineral company focused on building a solution mine in southern Saskatchewan Canada. Beijing Tairui Innovation Capital Management is a China based private equity investment firm with a focus on the energy and mining industries. (Some of its directors are Chang Xiaogang, Xue Wenye, Wang Yinping and Sun Limin).
